Intervals with AMBruno was an afternoon of displays and discussions on contemporary art books, which launched and celebrated AMBruno's new project, Intervals. The event was held on Friday 18th October 2024 in the Library & Archive Reading Rooms at Tate Britain. There was a panel conversation with AMBruno artists and past project selectors: Gustavo Grandal Montero (art librarian, researcher and editor, currently at Tate Library Collections), Elizabeth James (Senior Librarian, Collections and Content, National Art Library, V&A), Sophie Loss (artist), Richard Price (Head of Contemporary British Collections at the British Library), Chris Taylor (Professor of Fine Art Practice at the University of Leeds), and Cally Trench (artist). The panel discussed Intervals, the group's history, and the process of selecting books. |

During the interval, guests were also invited to watch a new short film: AMBruno: Artists' Books. Themed Projects. This 23-minute shows AMBruno's themed projects over a thirteen-year period from 2011 (Blue) to 2024 (Intervals). Note that the film is mostly silent, with occasional sound. |
The Reading Rooms also hosted a 'Show and Share', displaying a selection of books from AMBruno's projects, 2012-2024, including works by Mette-Sofie Ambeck, Martha Hellion, Erica Van Horn, Susan Johanknecht, Sharon Kivland, Katharine Meynell, Colin Sackett, and many others. Photographs by Judy Goldhill, Sophie Loss and Ximena Pérez Grobet. Many thanks to Gustavo and his team at Tate Britain's Library & Archive Reading Rooms. |
