Books and short films

There is a joy in thinking about things, uncovering new information, gaining insights, solving problems, drawing attention to points of interest, making things happen, and marking out instances in time and space so others will note and remember them. Being an artist is like wearing the cloak of the chameleon: you can travel widely and blend into other worlds, taking on different roles, observing, taking mental photographs for later processing.

Making books and short films are two of many ways to express ideas, and the idea almost always comes before the choice of medium. Once the medium is chosen, practicalities become integral to the original thought process ... competence, visual qualities, technicalities, light, colours, shapes, contrasts, papers, sounds, engagement, and so on ... all help carry the idea into the public domain.
